LOST Finale - One Year Ago Today
One year ago today Lost aired its final episode on ABC creating one heck of an argument over whether or not it was genius, or the ultimate disappointment (I - Doobie - am in the genius camp). For the most part, co-creator Damon Lindelof has been mum on the subject ever since, but on the occasion of the anniversary he did give a phone interview with the Washington Post to talk about the show. The interview is in 2 parts, in the first Lindelof discusses Lost and how it's affected his life. In the second he is asked the question "if you could change one thing about the finale..." Other notable Lost bloggers are also asked the same question making for some interesting Lostie conversation.

THR: 'Lost' Season 6 set tops sales, Blu-ray charts
According to The Hollywood Reporter "Lost: The Complete Sixth Season," from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is the top selling dvd and blu-ray release this week. "Lost: The Complete Series" captured the #2 spot on the blu-ray chart.

First LOST "New Man in Charge" Bonus Feature Photo
Disney has released the first photo from the original, brand new 12-minute LOST chapter called “New Man In Charge" which offers a look at what Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and Ben (Michael Emerson) do as the new Island overseers. Writers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof received an Emmy Nomination for their work on the series finale "The End" (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series) along with director Jack Bender (Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series) and Composer Michael Giacchino (Outstanding Music Composition For A Series--Original Dramatic Score).
ABC's Lost has been nominated for "Outstanding Drama Series" with actor Matthew Fox (Jack) nominated for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series", Terry O'Quinn (Locke) and Michael Emerson (Ben) each captured an "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" nomination for their roles and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) was nominated for "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series".
Lost's episode "Ab Aeterno" that focused on the backstory of the mysteriously ageless Richard Alpert has been nominated for "Outstanding Art Direction For a Single-Camera Series" and the series finale episode "The End" yielded additional nominations in "Original Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series", "Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series", "Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour)"

On Tuesday evening's "Jimmy Kimmel Live", Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the executive producers of "Lost" announced the show's finale is set for Sunday, May 23rd. Today via press release, Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment Group described the network's decision, "Lost is an example of what happens when you put creativity above everything else, trust the creative vision, and take the risks required to be truly original. It's a testament to staying true to the creative vision of one of the most iconic shows ever on television, and we're giving the producers an unprecedented opportunity to respect the fans and really satisfy the viewers with a spectacular conclusion." The finale event will begin with a recap special from 8p - 9p with the two-hour finale beginning at 9p.
