Mary Poppins Touring Show Premieres Tonight in Sacrament

The Sacramento premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Friday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. at the Community Center Theater for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, June 19, 2011.  MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m., with an additional performance on Sunday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. “Thus far sales have exceeded our expectations, but there are still great seats available” said Richard Lewis, executive producer of California Musical Theatre.

Mary Poppins Welcomes All New Banks Children to the Broadway Cast

Mary Poppins North American Tour Opens in Columbus, OH

The Columbus, OH premiere of MARY POPPINS opened last night, Thursday, April 21 at 7:30pm at the Ohio Theatre for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, May 8. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday through Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 1pm and 6:30pm. There will also be a 2pm matinee on Thursday, May 5. “Thus far, sales have exceeded our expectations, but there are still great seats available,” said Jack Eldon, Vice President, Domestic, Disney Theatrical Productions.

Mary Poppins Three Week Limited Engagment in Omaha Begins Tonight, Jan 28

LaughingPlace Newsdesk - Disney Theatricals' touring production of Mary Poppins premieres tonight, Friday January 28th at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha for a three-week limited engagement. During its opening weekend Mary Poppins performances are at 8p on Friday and Saturday; 6:30 p.m. Sunday and matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Beginning Tuesday, February 1 through Sunday, February 13, performances will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30 p.m. on Sundays with matinees on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Steffanie Leigh Steps into Role of Mary Poppins, Feb 8th

LaughingPlace Newsdesk -- Producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh are pleased to announce that Steffanie Leigh will star as “Mary Poppins” in the North American tour of MARY POPPINS.  Leigh, who previously understudied the title role in the touring production, replaces Caroline Sheen, who will play her final performance in Omaha at the Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, February 6th.  Leigh officially takes over the role in Omaha on Tuesday, February 8th before the show arrives at the Opera House in Boston on Thursday, February 17th for a limited engagement of five weeks through March 20th.  The opening night is Friday, February 18th at 8pm.  The Boston engagement of MARY POPPINS is presented by arrangement with Broadway Across America - Boston and is a subscription offering of the Lexus Boston Area Dealers Broadway Across America – Boston Series.  Ticketing information may be found at the end of the release.

Disney on Broadway Announces "Worry-Free Winter 2011" Unprecedented Ticket Exchange Policy

Thomas Schumacher, producer and president Disney Theatrical Productions announced their new unprecendeted policy that will enable Disney on Broadway ticketholders (from now until March 10, 2011) - in advance, without penalty and for any reason whatsoever - to change the date they see the show, until noon on the day of the performance shown on their tickets. “People have busy lives and need more flexibility when the unexpected happens and plans change.  We recognize the time is right to reduce restrictions and put more power in the hands of the customer, so now our Mary Poppins and The Lion King ticketholders can change plans just as they can change airline and hotel reservations,” said David Schrader, executive vice president and managing director of Disney Theatrical Productions.
