Oren Aviv Now Chief Marketing Officer at Fox

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Former Disney Studios chief marketing officer Oren Aviv is now Fox's chief marking officer and president of domestic theatrical marketing. Aviv left Disney Studios last January following Dick Cook's departure. Disney fans will recall that along with winning a number of marketing awards including Marketer of the Year for Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, and for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, the popular National Treasure series was based on an original idea by Aviv.

Courteney Cox and Nicolas Cage Set to Appear at the D23 Expo

Courteney Cox, star of ABC's highly anticipated Cougar Town, and acting legend Nicolas Cage (National Treasure, National Treasure 2 and the upcoming The Sorcerer's Apprentice) will be among the high-profile celebrities appearing at the D23 Expo. Courteney will pay a visit to the D23 Arena at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 10 to join Steve McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment, during his presentation, The ABCs of Disney, which also includes Tom Bergeron, Cheryl Burke, Joseph Fiennes, Patricia Heaton, Ed O'Neill and Donny Osmond.

AP: Disney Profits Plunge, Recession Hurts Theme Parks

Disney reported a quarterly income plunge of 46% with theme park attendance was even with last year due to heavy discounting, disappointing box office performances of "Bedtime Stories" and "Race to Witch Mountain" compared with last year's "National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets," and "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds."

National Treasure 2 sidewalk art at Disneyland's Downtown Disney

As the new Walt Disney Pictures release National Treasure: Book of Secrets heads toward its December 21 premiere, sidewalk artist Julie Kirk is creating a unique recreation of the movie's logo on a sidewalk in Downtown Disney, the shopping, dining and entertainment district of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. When completed this weekend, Kirk's picture will have the illusion of three dimensions.

National Treasure 2 Chalk Painting at WDW's Downtown Disney

Award-winning chalk artist Lee Jones (left) took to the streets of Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort this week to create a larger-than-life (16 by 20) chalk art mural to promote the opening of the Touchstone Pictures' action-packed adventure "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" on Dec. 21. The elaborate chalk art display will be on display until Dec. 17, near the World of Disney store. Orlando's Stephen MacEwen and Ron Hawkins assisted with crafting the colorful design.
