Pixar Characters Will Appear on Special Postage Stamp Series in Summer 2011

The US Postal Service announced "Send A Hello" a series of stamps featuring Pixar characters will be sold beginning August 19th. In recent years the USPS has offered various "Art of Disney" collections. These efforts were so successful the Postal Service was eager to work with the Walt Disney Company again, and chose to to explore the Disney*Pixar films with their contemporary characters and strong themes involving family and friends.
The "Send a Hello" pane of 20 stamps includes five different designs featuring Pixar characters: Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars (2006); Remy the rat and Linguini from Ratatouille (2007); Buzz Lightyear and two of the green, three-eyed aliens from Toy Story (1995); Carl Fredricksen and Dug from Up (2009); and the robot WALL*E from WALL*E (2008)

Reuters: Up Second at U.S. weekend box office
"Up" stayed in Number 2 with $30.5 million for a three weekend total of $187.2 million which is larger than "Wall-E"s total for the same period.

"WALL-E" producer Disney seeks to cut emissions from fuel consumption at theme parks, cruise ships, office and retail space. They also have set a goal of reducing electricity consumption by 10 percent from 2006 to 2013.
