Walt Disney Family Museum Presents Exhibition of Work by Heinrich Kley from Walt Disney's Collection

The Walt Disney Family Museum is pleased to present the special exhibition Heinrich Kley: From Fantasy to Fantasia featuring drawings by Heinrich Kley—Walt Disney’s most admired European illustrator—paired with art from Disney’s famed animated film Fantasia (1940). On view from May 11 to September 17, 2012, this exhibition features 29 drawings by Kley and alongside more than 25 sketches, concept art, and maquettes from the Walt Disney classic film. Also on view are four of Kley’s sketchbooks which feature some 50 pages of intricate drawings. The Kley artworks are from Walt Disney’s collection and are on public view for the first time in the United States.

The Walt Disney Family Museum Appoints Gabriella C. Calicchio Chief Executive Officer

Gabriella C. Calicchio has been named Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Family Museum, announced Walter E. D. Miller, Museum co-founder and Walt Disney’s grandson. Ms. Calicchio returns to the San Francisco Bay Area after serving as Managing Director of the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, one of the nation's highest-profile children's theaters and the only company serving a young audience to receive the Tony Award® for outstanding regional theater.  She takes up her post at the Museum in November 2011.

Walt Disney Family Museum Anniversary Celebration, Oct 1 - 3

The Walt Disney Family Museum will celebrate its First Anniversary with a variety of activitives Friday, October 1 - Sunday, October 3. Among the festivities will be a presentation of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" on the big screen, a "Where's Walt?" Walt Disney Family Museum February 2010 Programming Focuses on Innovation with a Dash of Romance

Fall in love this month at The Walt Disney Family Museum with special programming dedicated to romance, education and entertainment!
