New Book Alleges Disney Conspired with CIA to Avoid Taxes and Democracy in Establishing Disney World

The Daily Mail writes about a new book "Finding Florida: The True History of the Sunshine State". The book alleges Disney worked with former CIA agents and lawyers to engineer statutory grounds which still allow Disney World avoid taxation and environmental regulation. The special legal situation is not only unconstitutional, it is claimed, but allows the company to avoid any inconvenient decisions democratically taken at the local level.

Chip and Herbie, Together at the Magic Kingdom

Oh, to have access to the Disney Parks photo archives. Happily, the Disney Parks Blog does and today, with the Indy 500 coming up this weekend, they have Chip and Dale each riding their own Herbie car at the Magic Kingdom in 1971.
