Doobie goes to this morning's live broadcast of Mike and Mike in the Morning from ESPN Wide World of Sports. Today's showed featuring the live running of The Mess - Mike Greenberg's payoff for losing their annual NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket Wager.
Building on the success of its women-focused events, runDisney is broadening the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort next year by adding a 10K and a new two-race challenge. The Princess 10K gives runners of various levels more opportunities to run through Disney theme parks and receive a specially-designed finisher medal. And runners looking for an even bigger challenge can sign up for the 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday (19.3 miles total) to earn the inaugural Disney Glass Slipper Challenge Medal to go along with medals from each individual race.
Registration will open today at Noon Eastern for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna. In addition to adding the Dopey Challenge, the Walt Disney World 10K featuring Minnie Mouse and all new medals for the news races, Half Marathon, Marathon and Goofy Challenge, runDisney is making additional enhancements to improve the race experience.
- Men’s and women’s cut tech shirts available for the 10K, half, full, Dopey Challenge and Goofy Challenge
- Lowering our weekend capacity by 2,000 runners, mostly in the half marathon
- Proof of time required from more runners
- Runners in the half marathon must supply proof of time if 3:15 or less
- Runners in the full marathon must supply proof of time if 6:30 or less
- More detailed information required for proof of time to allow better verification
- More corrals allowing us to better place runners with similar abilities together and therefore spreading out the field on the course
- No corral changes based on proof of time will be made after November 1

Just days after the 20th Anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon presented by Cigna sold out, the Disney Half Marathon and Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge reached capacity. Today, runDisney revealed the much anticipated commemorative 20th anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon medal giving runners extra incentive to finish the 26.2 mile course. Runners nationwide have their first chance today to go after a commemorative new medal that will be awarded to finishers of the 2013 Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. Registration for the race weekend opens today and all finishers will receive a one-of-a-kind medal to mark the fifth anniversary of the women-focused event at Walt Disney World Resort, Feb. 22-24, 2013. Runners can sign up for the race at www.rundisney.com and the commemorative tiara medal will be revealed in the coming months.

Runners in the 20th anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon in 2013 will have the unique experience of running along a speedway and through a baseball stadium - in addition to Disney’s four theme parks - as part the latest enhancements designed to celebrate the event’s two decades of existence.
Runners competing in the 20 anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon – registration opens today - will experience several unique features, including a special 20th anniversary medal, new entertainment elements and a new post-race party. To mark two decades of the Walt Disney World Marathon, the 2013 marathon, which anchors the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna, will have enhanced entertainment at Mile Marker 20 to celebrate the 20th anniversary. And the finishers will take home a specially-designed 20 anniversary Mickey Mouse medal, plus they can celebrate their achievement at a new post-race party at Downtown Disney.
