The Contemporary Resort is one of the three resorts (along with the Polynesian and Fort Wilderness) that opened with Walt Disney World in 1971. It's main building has a unique A-frame design with some upper floors have beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom. It's flank on either side with two garden wings. It's location on the Monorail loop and a short walk from the Magic Kingdom makes this a very popular resort.

Resort Layout
The Contemporary Resort is located in one large, single high-rise with two garden wings (one on each side - the North Wing and South Wing). The lobby, restaurants, food court and arcade are all located in the main building. The pool area and marina are located behind the main building (between the two wings). The resort's single bus stop is located in front of the main building on the North Wing side. The Monorail station is located on the fourth floor or the main building.

Typical room is 437 square feet. All Guest Rooms have two queen-size beds, one queen-size bed and bunk bed or one king-size bed, table and chairs, vanity area with sink and a bathroom. Deluxe rooms may also include a daybed. Rooms for guests with disabilities and non-smoking rooms available. Sleeps up to 4 (plus one child under 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)

53 rooms. 27 suites. Both the 12th and 14th floors are club level offering a concierge, continental breakfast and mid-day snacks. In addition, the 14th floor offers wine and hor'doeuvres in the evening and cordials and desserts in the late evening. Rooms on the 14th floor also have robes and DVD/VCR players.

Guest Room amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port on phone, high-speed internet access, television speaker in bath area, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Microwave and refrigerator available upon request. Wi-Fi (Wireless Internet) access from Resort common areas. Service is available in the main lobby area, concierge sitting area, convention center lobby and feature swimming pool. Business Center and Meeting and Banquet facilities available.
