Whether you want to bring your own camper or rent a secluded, rustic log cabin, the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers a unique escape amidst all of buzz of Walt Disney World.

Resort Layout
For obvious reasons the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is a very large, spread out resort. The amenities are located at various locations:

  • The Outpost: Guest parking, kennel, horseback riding
  • The Settlement: The restaurant, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, shop, the Marina (boat rental and transportation)
  • The Meadow: Shop, pool, tennis court, campfire program including movies under the stars

You'll definitely want to look at a map to decide where you'd like to request a location.

Rooms
1193 Total Rooms
409 Wilderness Cabins. 784 Campsites. ilderness Cabins are one-bedroom units that sleep six. Features include: one double bed and a set of bunk beds, separate Murphy/pull-down bed in sitting area, fully-equipped kitchen with microwave oven, dining table that seats six, air conditioning, full bathroom with hair dryer, one television, VCR, telephone and daily housekeeping. Each Wilderness Cabin also has an outdoor patio-deck with a picnic table and charcoal grill, and parking for one vehicle. Campsites allow a maximum of 10 guests and feature a level paved pad, picnic table and charcoal grill, All are surrounded by lush wilderness and near Comfort Stations with restrooms, laundry facilities, ice dispensers and telephones. Partial Hook-up Campsites, for tents, conversion vans and pop-up campers, include hook-ups for water and electricity. Full Hook-up Campsites, for all types of recreational vehicles, include hook-ups for water, electricity and sewer. Preferred Campsites also include cable and are located near Pioneer Hall restaurants. Pets are permitted in Full Hook-up Campsites for an additional charge. Tents are available for rent.
