Well, I'm back home from my first time doing a Disney run and I had a great time. I'm not sure running is my thing, but I'd love to do more. Registration issues aside I can't speak highly enough of the event itself. Everyone made it really special for those taking part and the atmosphere was fantastic. The Disney Village part of the course was a highlight.

The best bit though was meeting up with two other wonderful Disney fans who helped me through it all. I love being with Disney nerds - they are the best!

I could get into this - if only I didn't have to run...!

It was great meeting you, @u k fan , and I'm glad you enjoyed the run!

I got home yesterday afternoon and am still getting settled, so I hope to do a broader recap later, but overall I really enjoyed the race weekend too. The event had some logistical issues (terrible registration, not enough shirts, oversized corrals, no real post-race reunion/rest area, lacking information in general, etc), but the races themselves are probably my favorite of the runDisney portfolio. From the time you cross the start line until the finish line, everything was just about perfect, and that's where it really counts

I'm not sure if it will be practical for me to do the event next year (though there's a chance it could work), but I would definitely like to do it again at some point. The post-race survey hints at interest in expanding the weekend again, which could be a lot of fun if they can sort out the organizational issues

I didn't get the post race survey, what kind of questions did they ask?

It was great to meet you too Ferret. I've never yet met an LPer I didn't have a fun time with! I'm hoping to persuade some of the family to run with me next year, but would love to see you again too!

We had also planed to run the 10km next year, but unfortunately we had to postpone our Japan trip from May to September, so we have to pass.

It was mostly about how the races went and what distances, themes, and challenges you'd like to see in the future. Given what's already been announced through tour packages for 2018, it doesn't sound like any of the suggestions will be implemented next year, but rather more of a longterm plan for the weekend and/or additional race weekends. Unfortunately there wasn't much about registration, pre-race information, and the expo, which I think have the most room for improving
