Epcot: Spaceship Earth

Known around the world, the massive white and silver geodesic sphere that is the beloved icon of Epcot is called Spaceship Earth. Standing in the shadow of this amazing statement of both architecture and technology, guests find themselves at a threshold; within the sphere is told the history of communication and beyond the structure lies the rest of Epcot and World Showcase. Spaceship Earth stands as a triumph, a symbol of the pioneering spirit of Walt and Roy Disney and all of the men and women of WED who pushed themselves – and The Walt Disney Company – to extreme limits while designing and building this massive theme park.
