LP Lotion: New Mark VII Monorail Arrives at Disneyland Resort

The new fleet of monorails, three in total, will replace the current Mark V models which made their debut in 1987. Monorail Red will begin testing in January with passenger service starting late February. Monorail Blue will debut in Spring 2008 followed by the release of a new Monorail Orange in summer 2008.
A brand new Mark VII Monorail is hoisted into place backstage at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif, on Thursday.

The train arrived in five pieces via flatbed truck, and was delicately hoisted onto the 20-foot-tall beam.
