About Star Wars Weekends
With the Star Tours thrill ride serving as the
centerpiece of the celebration, Star Wars Weekends fills Disney's
Hollywood
Studios with dozens of heroes, heroines, droids, creatures and villains from the
famous films for four consecutive weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
beginning June 6, 2008.
Come face to face with famous villains and heroes from all six Star Wars films -- Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Guests never know which Star Wars character they'll find around the corner, whether it's the heroic Jedi Luke Skywalker, the poised and regal Queen Amidala, the furry and loyal Chewbacca or the evil Siths Darth Vader, Darth Sidious and Darth Maul.
Star Wars celebrities are special guests
during each weekend, taking part in autograph sessions, star conversations
and Hollywood-style motorcades. Actor Warwick
Davis -- known to audiences as the Ewok scout "Wicket," as well as lead roles in
the films "Willow" and "Leprechaun," and as Professor Flitwick
in the popular "Harry Potter" motion pictures -- will play the new role of
celebrity host each weekend of the festival.

Star Wars Weekends Events Include:

- Jedi Training Academy -- Kids are invited to test
their lightsaber skills. Showtimes 9:30a, 10:20a, 12:30p, 1:20p, 2:10p, 4:15p, 5:15p, 6:15p
- Paduwan Mind Challenge -- Guests 12 and under can test their
Star Wars knowledge for a chance to become an official Paduwan learner. Registration opens at 9:00a. The Challenge begins at 11:00a and 5:45p
- Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade (Hollywood Blvd) -- Motorcade
featuring the two Star Wars celebrity guests and other Star Wars
characters.
The Motorcade begins by the main entrance at 11:40p and travels along the parade route concluding at the Star Tours attraction with a special Celebrity welcome and photo moment. - Behind the Force -- A look behind the scenes of theStar Wars saga. An exclusive look behind the scenes of the next chapter in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, an all-new, full-length, animated feature. Showtimes are 10:00a, 11:00a, 3:00p, 5:00p, and 6:00p.
- Stars of the Saga (Talk Show and Q&A) -- The two
Star Wars Weekends celebrities share stories about the creation of the Star
Wars saga. The presentation concludes with an audience question and answer
session.
- Star Wars Weekends Hyperspace Hoopla (Star Tours Stage) --
Guests and Star Wars characters gather for the day's closing event. 7:00p
- Star Wars Weekends Celebrity Autographs --
Autograph opportunities with the special Star Wars celebrity guests. FastPass are distributed for access to this unique opportunity.
- Star Wars Characters -- Take a photo or get the autograph of your favorite Star Wars characters. You can find various Star Wars characters near the 50's Prime Time Cafe, Tatooine Traders, and Al's Toy Barn. Darth Vader poses for photos near the Backlot Tour entrance.
- Disney Event Characters -- Darth Goofy, Princess Minnie and Stormtrooper Donald pose near the ABC Commissary. They also appear in the Motorcade.
- Special Event Merchandise -- Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. have created event-exclusive Star Wars memorabilia -- from trading pins and commemorative posters to apparel, medallions and other limited-edition items.
