A weekly report of news, events, rumors and other happenings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Disneyland

Not much in the way of Disneyland news this week. Plenty going on in the parks, though. See the links to our recent Mini-Updates below.

News and Rumors

dingdong2U (how's that for the first word in the Report?) reported on the LaughingPlace.com Discussion Boards that the Indiana Jones Adventure single rider line is no more. I miss it already.

Another reader reported to us the Hollywood Pictures Backlot music loop at DCA now plays all Disney music rather than themes from several studios' films. A good thing, but I liked hearing Superman.

Disneyland was named number five in Zagat Survey's first-ever U.S. Travel Guide Top 10 Family Attractions. Also in the Top 10 were Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom (#1), Epcot (#2), Disney-MGM Studios (#6) and Animal Kingdom (#9)

Fun Stuff

Spotted on the Discussion Boards (thanks AlxVision360), for all you fans of the People Mover and Walt's visions of the future, check out  SkyWeb Express Personal Rapid Transit.

Not directly Disneyland related, but the Grand Rapids Press had a fun article about a mock trial for Snow White on charges that she violated the Queen's trademark, "The Fairest of Them All" by tricking the Magic Mirror into declaring her the fairest. Really, see it here. I'm a big Snow White fan so I'm glad she was found not guilty. No Justice, no Peace.

Recent Mini-Updates
During the week we publish pictorial mini-updates (sometimes with video). Here are the Disneyland-related ones since the last Report.

Sorry, I don't have more. But don't let that stop you from continuing on to the Walt Disney World section...
