Media Networks: ABC reached an agreement with its affiliates to allow for cable operators and satellite providers to add ABC On Demand to their lineups. The affiliates will get to air local ads in addition to the network adds. So don't fear, your local car dealers will still be showing you how special a thirty second television spot can be. ABC also got the right to repurpose their programming on other venues such as XBOX Live, and iTunes. This aggreement allows for ABC to persue sharing their content in many new ways as we continue the digital revolution. If only Michael Eisner thought about asking permission to repurpose ABC programming on ABC Family before he bought ABC Family and realized he couldn't. WOOPS
Consumer Products: Baby Einstein kicked off a new marketing campaign with a new website at www.babyeinstein.com The new look is supposed to showcase, "the power of moms". My mom had all sorts of powers like eyes in the back of her head and the power to know when I did something bad. These super powers will now be showcased on the website where moms can discuss their powers with other moms. Think of it as a "Hall of Justice" but instead of for the Super Friends, it is for moms.
