Halloweentime at Disneyland kicked off on Friday the 13th of September with a special “Release the Villains” event. Lighted dance floors were set up on Town Square and at New Orleans Square station. DJs spun spooky hits. And the villains turned out in force to greet guests and show off their dance skills. The party went on until the “thirteenth hour,” one o’clock in the morning.
Meanwhile, the Disneyland Resort rolled out familiar holiday decorations and offerings: Pumpkin Festival on Main Street, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Ranch, and Dia de los Muertos in Frontierland. The separately ticketed Mickey’s Halloween Party with parade and fireworks and Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace is being offered on thirteen dates: Friday, Sept. 27; Tuesday, Oct. 1; Friday, Oct. 4; Tuesday, Oct. 8; Friday, Oct. 11; Tuesday, Oct. 15; Friday, Oct. 18; Monday, Oct. 21; Wednesday, Oct. 23; Friday, Oct. 25; Monday, Oct. 28; Wednesday, Oct. 30; and Thursday, Oct. 31.
