Frozen Comes to the Disney Cruise Line

A drink in my hand

My snow up against the burning sand

Prob’ly getting gorgeously tanned

In summer

Frozen on Disney Cruise Line

Well it appears as if everyone’s most huggable snowman will get his wish this summer. With no sign that the Walt Disney Company is ready to “let it go” when it comes “Frozen,” guests onDisney Cruise Line sailings will have a chance to mix and mingle with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf.

From film, to theme park meet and greets, to touring ice show, to singalong DVD, Disney Cruise Line is the latest arm of the Mouse House to incorporate the “Frozen” franchise into their itinerary.

Beginning this summer, guests on select Disney Magic and Wonder sailings to Alaska and Europe will be able to immerse themselves in the animated world of “Frozen” with brand-new experiences inspired by the movie. The first two ships of the Disney fleet will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a full day of “Frozen” fun with friends from the Kingdom of Arendelle.

One morning of their ocean journey, guests will awake and find a magical freeze has transformed the atrium lobby into a majestic ice palace complete with sparkling icicles on the grand staircase that resemble the mountaintop castle of Queen Elsa.

Some of the other memorable moments awaiting Disney Cruise Line guests include “Anna’s Chase for the Chocolate” scavenger hunt with a special surprise for finishing the game, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” activity where kids take on Elsa’s magical powers to make snow and ice, “The Maypole Swirl and Twirl” where families can learn a traditional Scandinavian dance spinning and braiding giant ribbons, all to be capped off with “Frozen” themed dining experiences which will include a menu inspired by traditional Nordic fare and special dishes inspired by the movie.

Guests of all ages will see virtual appearances of Sven and the trolls at the evening “Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends,” a family friendly interactive deck party. Sven will engage party goers in reindeer games like “Sven Says” and the “Troll Stroll.”

Elsa will arrive in grand style at the party with a snowy gust of wind only to lead the crowd in the Academy Award winning song “Let it Go.”

But the fun doesn’t stop there. The “Frozen” characters will make their cruise line stage show debut in the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the Disney Magic. They will appear in the original production “Disney Dreams, An Enchanted Classic,” which tells the tale of Anna, Elsa and Olaf teaching a young girl the power of her dreams, complete with a magical snowfall throughout the theater.

Once guests drop anchor at Castaway Cay, Disney is adding “Olaf’s Summertime Freeze bar.” Serving nonalcoholic specialty frozen drinks in souvenir cups, the creative menu will feature refreshing beverages such as “Olaf’s Flurry Freeze,” “Sven’s Carrot Delight,” and “Warm Hugs.” Who knows you may even bump into Olaf with a Flurry Freeze in hand “relaxing in the summer sun just lettin’ off steam!”

While most of the “Frozen” offerings are on the Disney Magic and Wonder, all four Disney cruise ships will offer character meet and greets for guests where they can get autographs and have their photos taken with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Kristoff.
