Frozen Summer is Back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

IMG_8536Last years runaway surprise of Frozen Summer has returned for a second year. Much like last summer, your day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be filled with Frozen fun almost every place you go, so if you are not ready to Let It Go all day long, you may want to head to Epcot!

The day starts with the Frozen Royal Welcome parade. It runs twice a day to make sure everyone can enjoy. It features all your favorite friends from Arendelle along the parade route with special song stops.

Also showing multiple times throughout the day on the Center Stage is Olaf’s Summer Cool Down. This is a expanded version of last years show but instead of Olaf just being on the screen he comes out and actually sings and dances! But as you will be able to tell from this video some of the equipment is a little loud while getting ready for the cool down moment and always be on the look out for flying beachballs!!!IMG_8602

But there has been one constant over the past year and that is the ‘For The First Time in Forever: A “Frozen” Sing-Along Celebration. For this Frozen Summer it has been relocated to the Hyperion Theater, the former American Idol Theater, right in the center of the park so that no one can miss it!IMG_8589This new home of by one of my favorite shows, adds not only extra seats for guests from Hollywood Land but also gave the chance for the amazing technical crew to expand and enhance some effects!

If by this time you are not suffering from frost bite there is still plenty more to experience as part of the Frozen Summer Fun including a chance to see the Frozen Fever short at the ABC Sound Studio showing twice each hour starting at 10 a.m. But the best hidden gem of this event is this clever photo op that only true Frozen fans will get.IMG_8676As the sun sets, no event would be complete with out a dance party. The ever talented DJ Chill gives  the chance for guest to dance with Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto while giving us a countdown to the fireworks.IMG_8699Speaking of fireworks, this year they turned up the “Frozen” Fireworks Celebration to the Nth degree, to the point where it ALMOST takes over as my favorite fireworks.

Frozen Summer Fun runs now through September 7th so hurry and hitch your reindeer to your sled and get to Walt Disney World.
