Tsum Tsum Life: Merry Jurassic Frozen Monster Panmas

Cray: informal adjective. 1.) See “Crazy.” 2.) A term used to describe Tsum Tsum between October 29th and November 5th, 2015. e.g; “This week has been cray cray, bookay?”

Where do I begin this week’s Tsum Tsum Life? It feels like everything happened since the last post. Let’s start with thinking wonderful thoughts…

Peter Pan

My favorite Walt-era Disney animated film is Peter Pan, so you bettah believe that I woke up at midnight to wait and wait and wait for disneystore.com to put them up. After 15 frantic minutes of refreshing the site, clearing my cache, checking twitter and repeating the process at warp speed, I finally had my chance at ’em. I clicked “Add to Cart” in record time on all 10 and quickly checked out. I’m glad I woke up early because when I checked to see what was left in the morning, it was just Tinker Bell. And it wasn’t long before she was gone too. Disney still doesn’t understand that they could make more money if they made enough T$um T$um$ to meet demand. $tupid Di$ney…

My set shipped yesterday and I hope to have them next week for my Tsum Tsum Life vlog.

Frozen Fever

I got a fever and the only cure is more Frozen… actually I don’t have a fever, but this is a great reminder to get my flu shot. Anywho, Disney Store “surprised” fans with the not-previously announced, but still widely known about, Frozen Fever bag of Tsum Tsums. Inside the Olaf bag, which is slightly smaller than a medium Tsum Tsum, is Frozen Fever Elsa, Anna, Sven and a Snowgie. Now I’m typically a stickler for not buying variants of the same Tsum Tsum characters and under normal circumstances, I would have passed on this set, but Snowgie. I love Snowgies, they completely made Frozen Fever for me. The only way this release could have been better is if it was full of 4 Snowgies… I bought this and thankfully it’s still available if you want it, too. Achoo!

Christmastime is Here

Red cups and peppermint mochas became available at Starbucks on November 1st, which means we’ve skipped Thanksgiving and moved straight on to Christmas. I kept seeing geeks in shirts that said “Winter is Coming,” but I didn’t think they were right until now. So it makes sense that November’s Tsum Tsum Tuesday also featured a legitimate surprise release, a plush holiday set full of Mickey and Friends. This year, the gang are wearing winter scarves and Mickey and Minnie have the added value of having black & white faces. However, I don’t buy variants… but cute!

Jurassic Monster

In the Tsum Tsum mobile game, two Pixar characters have been added. From Toy Story is Rex, the frightful dinosaur toy who was acquired by Mattel in a toy company buyout. From Monsters, Inc. 3D (That’s right, this is specifically from the 3D re-release of Monsters, Inc.) comes the villainous Randall.

Rex is pretty fantastic! His skill clears Tsum Tsums from the screen at random, but he clears a ton of them all at once even at level 1. In other words, Rex is the new Elsa.

Randall, unfortunately, is not good at all. In my quest to get Rex, I bought enough Randal’s to have him at level 3 and he’s still pretty blah! His skill clears any remaining Randall’s from the screen. It makes it easier to keep activating his power, but it takes more Randall’s to activate the skill than Zero does and Zero does pretty much the same thing. Also Zero is cuter than Randall, so just play with Zero.

Haiku

Disney Press recently published a book of Tsum Tsum Haiku. Of course I had to have it, and for more Tsum Tsum Haiku fun, check out this week’s vlog.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this cray week in my Tsum Tsum Life. And as we head into the holiday season, let us be truly grateful for the many gifts we’ve been given. From all of me to all of you, a Very Merry Jurassic Frozen Monster Panmas
