Pump Up the Volume with Crosley Disney Turntable on Record Store Day

“A dream is a wish your heart makes,” and if you have been dreaming about how you can play that collection of Walt Disney records or, as we refer to them today, “vinyls,” you are in luck. In honor of Record Store Day on April 16th, Crosley has tapped into some magic pixie dust and is delivering a Disney-inspired record player, now commonly called a turntable.

The retro-music player comes complete with a belt-driven three-speed dial to accommodate those 33, 45 and 78 rpm’s (rotations or revolutions per minute) sitting in boxes in the attic or basement of the house. Designed for young kids, but sure to be a hit among hipsters and adults alike, the Disney Cruiser turntable comes complete with RCA headphone jack, needle or stylus, and built-in dynamic all-in-one stereo speakers. Weighing about 5.5 pounds, the suitcase-styled turntable features whimsical, colorful artwork of Mickey Mouse and his pal Pluto on the inside and outside cover.

Tugging not only your purse strings but your nostalgia heart strings as well, you will have to act fast if you want to get your Mickey mitts one of these limited edition players. Released through the strong network of record music stores across the country, they are almost certain to sell out quickly and perhaps have a high re-sell price online.

Complimenting the player is the special edition 33rpm record Disney Favorite Songs. The limited release vinyl features such Disney classics like “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “I Wanna Be Like You,” “Part of Your World,” and “Let It Go.”

The Disney turntable retails for $109.96 so perhaps part of that IRS refund check you might be getting from Uncle Sam can go toward the purchase. So put down the iPod, iPad or mp3 player and make your way over to your closest record store and check out the Crosley Disney Cruiser player.
