32 Years Later, Man is Still Trying to Identify Family in Lost WDW Photos

Back in 1985, Greg Hagerman found a roll of 35mm film while on a church trip to Magic Kingdom. Once he got home to Houston, Texas, he had the photos developed and has kept them to this day, all the while wondering who the family was. If this story sounds at all familiar, it’s probably because Hagerman has been on a full-fledged search to identify the owners of the vacation photos for over a year now, utilizing the Facebook page Lost and Found Cameras to help get the word out. Unfortunately, no one has come forward in that time.

That still hasn’t dissuaded Hagerman, who continues to track down clues and other info. One such hint is that the man in some of the photos is wearing a red hat that read “Squire Shop.” However, as the Times-Georgian notes, there are several businesses using that name and similar font, including locations in Fort Worth, Texas; Spencer, Iowa; and a chain of stores from Seattle, Washington that went out of business in 1993. Additionally, there is such a shop in Carrollton, Georgia. Hagerman told the Times-Georgian, “I don’t know if (the man) actually worked there, but he could have just bought the hat there. I’m hoping this is a family that lived in or near Carrollton. If (the photo) gets the right exposure, somebody could recognize the people in the picture.”
