Tsum Tsum Life: The Nightmare Before Tsum Tsum Tuesday

Twas the night of Tsum Tsum Tuesday and all through the house,

Everybody was sleeping, including this louse.

‘Til 3:00 AM when my alarm did hark,

I shot out of bed, down the stairs in the dark.

I grabbed my laptop, opened up to the page,

Then I started to fume, my face red with rage.

For what to my wandering eyes should behold,

But 5 “Sold Out” signs, these are no longer sold.

This past Tuesday saw the release of The Nightmare Before Christmas Tsum Tsum set, which took all of 5 minutes to mostly sell out online. This was my first time trying to buy Tsum Tsums on disneystore.com before my normal wake up time. Why did I set my alarm for 3:00 AM you ask? Well, I used to live on the East Coast and was used to that being Disney Store’s definition of midnight. Now that I live in California, I should have been waiting at midnight for the release but something in my pea brain said “3:00 AM” (to add to my frustration, I went to bed at around 11:50 that night).

Le sob!

I bought the three that were still available (Jack, Sally and Sandy Claws) thinking they would be the only ones I’d have a chance to purchase. For those interested, these three are still available at the time of this post. I’ve never been to a Disney Store opening on Tsum Tsum Tuesday, but I have friends who have and they said it’s bananas. So you can imagine my surprise when LP’s FanBoy decided to go. Being about number 30 in line, he got the last Vampire Teddy and when he left, they only had a few Lock, Shock and Barrel left. But like disneystore.com, they had plenty of Jack, Sally and Sandy Claws. The one I was most excited about was Zero. Wook at hiwm!

Zero

Le cute!

Now I know what to expect and what to do differently the next time they put out a set that I have to have. And I’m very grateful that my Secret Sandy Claws was able to complete my set.

Tsum Tsum Game Announcement

Disney Interactive sent an email yesterday saying that Hawaiian Stitch and Angel are coming to the game!

Obvi when I got home, I went straight to my iPad to play, only to discover that they still weren’t available but, as of this morning, they are. I loved Lilo & Stich: The Series and while I don’t understand why making Stitch wink and wear a lei crown makes him more relevant to the series than basic Stitch, I’m razzed about playing as Angel. I’m excited to find out what their powers will be like. GET! E komo mai!

Since the TNBC Tsum Tsum set is here now, I’ve been playing with Jack and Zero more than usual. I had forgotten how great both are. With Jack, you can clear chains of Tsum Tums with a single tap and while his power is activated, the background looks sort of like The Haunted Mansion. Zero, on the other hand, zeroes out all of the Zero Tsum Tsums still on the screen. I like to save up his power until there’s a lot of him to get a higher score.
