This column has been a long haitus but now it makes its return with seven pages of reader feedback.

Here at LaughingPlace.com we receive lots of feedback on the articles we run and the site in general. We're still not sure how often we're going to run a Letters to the Editor column, especially since we now have the Dicussion Boards where readers can discuss everything more directly with each other. But we did think it would be a good idea to gather some of the feedback we've received since our last Letters to the Editor column many months ago into one huge catch-up column. We likely will run these more often - don't worry, future editions won't be as long - but not as yet on a set schedule.

In January we ran a feature which so far has generated more feedback than anything else we've done - a recap of the Millennium New Year's Eve at Disneyland

Great job! I was there, and from these shots we must have been in the same vicinity (so thanks for taking the pics and vid for me!). My personal highlight: riding the train for an hour, because we would all howl and blow horns like nuts as we approached each station, and got the same crazy receptions from those on the platforms! --BM

I was a little disappointed with the fireworks display. After hearing that they had been working on it for months, I expected more. It didn't seem any better than the usual display.  --S

It was one BIG PARTY! I was there, working in Disney Clothiers, but I was there. One of the best times I have ever had at the park, working or as a guest.   --SF

Crowded, wet but wouldn't of wanted to be anywhere else!   --C

During the countdown I was working at the newsstand, sadly I wasn't able to see Mickey on the castle, or the beautiful streak of magic from the mouse's hand. My new years was pretty sad as a matter of fact. Till now. After reading your play by play of the days events, viewing your photos, not to mention playing your video 10 times, completes my new years celebration. You even brought a tear to my eye. thanks.  --M

I was there and felt that it was spectacular. We found a little place in Small World Terrace, where we sat just above the huge crowd and were able to enjoy the festivities. The best part was the colored projections on the castle and the Matterhorn, not to mention the empty park the next day. I will definitely be back for another New Year's Eve and day.  --Anon

Awesome page!! I was there, but as you mentioned in one of the pages, the crowd was swelled to its limit and i was scruntched somewhere on Main Street, not seeing the full effect of the midnight festivities. Thanks for reliving the moment for me! Also for sharing the summary of the day, telling me what I missed. Nevertheless, it will be one night I won't soon forget!   --M

Very nice re-cap of New Years at Disneyland! After reading the story and seeing the pictures, I wish I could have gone, yet I definitely got the feeling of what it must have been like. Thanks for the overview.   --SG

We were there and would not have been anywhere else!! It was a fantastic day and night! Love that rain! Saw 2000 come in on the Rivers of America. Great place to be. Your report was very nice to read! Thanks!!   --MB

Thank you very much for your article on NYE at Disneyland. Yes, we were there too...My husband and my brother's family went too...7 in all...we're a bunch of Annual Passholders from San Francisco...We got there by 7:15 am and stayed til 3 am. We, too, were fearing the worst...and I agree with you that they rain was actually a blessing...I think it could have been a lot more crowded...We were able to get on a lot more rides than I expected to...I think the food lines were the worst out of everything... We ended up doing the countdown at "it's a small world"...We started waiting at 7:30 and stayed put until the countdown...My husband is not as much a Mickey fan as me, so he couldn't take anymore of the Mouse dance music in front of the castle...so, he was a much happier camper in front of the Small World... We had s blast dancing away with the other thousands of people... All and all, I had a blast! And I think that shot to the top of the Matterhorn was way cool! Fireworks were especially awesome!  --LS

Great article and GREAT pictures. I was one of the hundreds right in front of the castle. I was in the park by 6:00AM and camped out by the castle from about 10:00AM thinking it was going to be jammed by noon. Thank goodness for the rain - no crowds - but what a cold day and night it was! Anyway I had fun. Thanks for the memories.  --L

Hello, Thank you for posting those wonderful pictures! I was at the park from opening until closing that day, what a wonderful play to be on New Year's Eve. I WILL be there next year to ring in 2001. The entire day and evening was pure Disney magic, Thank you to all of the employees who worked so hard to make this an event to remember. Bless you one and all.  --CH

I loved the feature!! The intermix of 30 incredible pictures, the great narration, and of course, the video was outstanding! Of course :)  --AM
