In a special edition of Reliving Fond Memories David looks at a surprisingly slow summer day.

Is This Summer Seaso

It’s strange, but each time I’ve been to Disneyland this summer, I keep forgetting it is summer. The crowds have been light, getting onto the rides is no problem. This weekend, as I walked around the park, I was constantly amazed at the low attendance. Though Splash Mountain and Indy drew a lot of attention, portions of the park seemed like it was the off season. This is good for me, bad for Disney. I hope this doesn’t impact too much on the plans for the 50th.

This is a great time to get down to the Resort. As you can see in the following pictures, Disneyland has had light attendance, and mild to warm temperatures. It’s been a mild summer all around. Imagine how it is over at DCA!! ;)

Low wait times. This was taken in the middle of the afternoon.

The castle is covered, getting a birthday makeover. Main Street is looking terrific.
