Tim tells you why the Disney Cruise Line is just as much for adults as for kids.

The number one cruise myth I hear from adults looking at a first-time cruise with Disney is that it’s really just for the kids.  There is no denying that a cruise aboard a Disney Cruise Line® ship will entertain children, after all, it’s all the magic of Walt Disney but with water added!  However, there are plenty of options for adults as well, and they will entertain guests of the more mature persuasion just as much as they do the younger guests.

We can begin with Palo, the adults-only restaurant.  The theme of this dining venue is Italian and no one under the age of eighteen is allowed.  Additionally, there is a semi-formal to formal dress code to maintain the atmosphere of elegance and charm.  Palo is known for its delicious food, beautiful décor and outstanding views from its location on deck 10 aft.  This restaurant also utilizes its own serving team which insures they are extremely knowledgeable of the menu and able to give very personal attention to each guest.  Reservations are required and a small per person service charge will be applied due to the exclusive nature of this dining venue and its popularity.

With a dining experience like Palo, adults may wish to exercise their waistlines.  The Vista Spa & Salon is the place to go and like Palo, no one under the age of eighteen is allowed.  The spa is located on deck 9 forward and provides a panoramic view of the sea.  The fitness room is full of state-of-the-art exercise equipment and classes are available in a variety of disciplines.  Spa treatments also abound, as well as a sauna that has to be seen to be believed.

After a spa treatment or fitness class, how about a dip in the adults-only Quiet Cove Pool on deck 9 forward?  Unlike many cruise lines, Disney’s pools are fresh water not salt water.  This pool also boasts two whirlpools and adult beverages at nearby Signals.  If you prefer something more sheltered, the Cove Café is also close at hand to provide wireless internet, books, magazines and music listening stations.  They also offer a nice selection of specialty coffees.  No one under the age of eighteen is allowed in these areas and it truly is a great place to get away and enjoy some solitude.

Disney Cruise Line® also has an area of the ship dedicated to adult entertainment on deck 3 forward.  Beat Street on the Disney Magic® and Route 66 on the Disney Wonder® are exclusively for adults eighteen and over after 9 PM.  There are three different venues to choose from, each with its own unique style and feel.  There is a club for dancing and crazy games, a sports pub with televisions and board games and a comfy lounge with soft chairs and relaxing music.

As you can see, there is no shortage of adult-themed activities aboard the Disney Cruise Line®.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact your MouseEarVacations.com® Travel Specialist today!
