Greek mythology was mined for laughs in the light-hearted musical adventure yarn Hercules (June 27, 1997), the first animated feature to use the "morphing" effect popularized by such films as Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

#92. GIRL POWER

Retelling the Chinese legend of a young woman who risks her life for the honor of her family, Mulan (June 19, 1998) was the first animated feature primarily produced by Disney Feature Animation Florida, who's studios are located in the Disney-MGM Studios theme park.

#93. A CAST OF THOUSANDS

Continuing the lucrative Disney/Pixar collaboration, A Bug's Life (November 20, 1998) proved that, at the box office at least, it's not always tough to be a bug. The film became the first Disney released on a new home video format known as DVD.

#94. THE APE-MAN COMETH

Utilizing new computer programming known as "Deep Canvas", Disney's Academy Award-winning Tarzan (June 18, 1999) brought whole new dimensions to Edgar Rice Burrough's oft-filmed lord of the apes.

#95. I GOT THE SHERIFF

Buzz, Woody and all the toys were back in town with Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 2 (November 24, 1999). Winner of the Golden Globe for Best Picture - Musical/Comedy, the film ranks alongside The Godfather Part II as one of the few sequels that surpassed their original, critically and financially.

#96. FANTASIA CONTINUED ... ON THE BIG SCREEN

Adding flying whales, a yo-yo obsessed flamingo, a volcanic firebird and an ark-full of animals to Fantasia lore, Walt's hope of an ever-changing symphonic feast for the senses was finally fulfilled with Fantasia 2000, brought to fruition by his nephew Roy. Released on January 1, 2000, it was the very first movie of the new millennium. F2K was the first animated feature presented on such large format screens as IMAX, a whole new way to watch animation. And it's only just begun: a third Fantasia is already in the works.

#97. AN ADVENTURE 65 MILLION YEARS IN THE MAKING

Through their newly formed digital effect department dubbed the Secret Lab, Disney took on their own CGI venture with Dinosaur (May 19, 2000), a breathtaking mixture of location-shot backgrounds and photo-realistic "terrible lizards". Talk about a countdown to extinction ... the Secret Lab became defunct earlier this year.

#98. LLAMA-LLAMA DING-DONG

When story problems persisted, the Incan adventure Kingdom of the Sun was transformed into The Emperor's New Groove (December 15, 2000), resulting in a side-splitting comedic escapade in the style of Chuck Jones.

#99. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GO BACK IN THE WATER

Traveling from the destruction of an ancient civilization to turn-of-the-century New York to the bottom of the sea, Atlantis: The Lost Empire (June 15, 2001) was Disney's first foray into animated science fiction and the 40th animated feature.

#100. MONSTER B.O.

The comical exploits of a big blue boogie-man and his walking eyeball sidekick, Monsters, Inc. (November 2, 2001) made all the competition scream at the box office, another monster-size hit from Disney/Pixar, breaking the record for the biggest debut of an animated film.
