• Antonio Banderas was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as Che in Hollywood Pictures’ Evita.
• Carla Gugino voiced Delilah in Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco.
• Steve Buscemi was the voice of Randall Boggs in Monsters, Inc.
• Ricardo Montalban appeared on the classic Disney Zorro television series and has voiced characters on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Kim Possible.
• Holland Taylor was most recently heard as Prudence in Cinderella II: Dreams Come True and also played Ursula’s mother in George of the Jungle.
• Christopher McDonald, who appears in Spy Kids 2 as the President of the United States, also starred in Disney’s Flubber.
• Bill Paxton, here seen with a pot belly and a Joe Bob Briggs ensemble as Dinky Winks the theme park owner, starred in Disney’s remake of Mighty Joe Young.
• Director Robert Rodriguez likes to keep it in the family: many of the actors in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams have starred in previous Rodriguez films. Antonio Banderas was in his Four Rooms segment and also starred in Desperado and the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Steve Buscemi also appeared in Desperado, as did Danny Trejo, who also starred in From Dusk Til Dawn and Once Upon a Time, the latter two which also featured Cheech Marin. And Christopher McDonald appeared in The Faculty.
