There are few Disney Artists as beloved as Marc Davis or as many Villains with as large a following as Cruella. I had pegged this item - hand-signed by Marc - and featuring one of his most famous creations - to sell above it’s high estimate - and the ConventionEars didn’t let me down.

lot #10 Sweet Hearts Forever - Mickey Mouse and Annette Funicello

Very few Disney artists have the fan base that Disneyland Resort illustrator Charles Boyer enjoys. Known for his Disneyland art and collected in poster and lithograph forms - getting an original is nearly impossible, Charles has an impressive portfolio, still at work for the company after his retirement after a 30 year career. In this image he captured the essence of Annette and Mickey - two of the most heartfelt icons in the Disney gallery. It really surprised me that it didn’t make its low estimate.
