Tree Chopper

Last week a heavy lift helicopter was used to transport five large trees, one at a time, to their permanent locations in the vicinity of the Fortress at Mediterranean Harbor.

Inspections Ahoy

It's time for the government to start poking around.   Inspectors from the City of Urayasu will be poking around on March 9th and on March 21st it's Chiba Prefecture's turn.

Work has slowed during the days leading up to March 9th's inspection.  Many workers have been spending their time making sure DisneySea is presentable.

Sleepin' on the Railroad

For nearly a month now the DisneySea Electric Railway has been running it's trolleys continuously on nearly a daily basis.  Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...  The trolleys are being put through their paces to make sure they're going to run reliably come opening day, but they're simple machines and really don't need much testing.  The main reason they're being run so often is to wear down the sharp edges of the new tracks that they ride on in order to reduce the amount of noise the trolleys make as they travel.  Reports from worker near the tracks are that they are noticeably quieter than when the process started.   But the job is so tedious that workers in the passing trolleys are often seen to be fast asleep.

Getting a Head Start

It's still six months 'til opening day, but the attractions Journey to the Center of the Earth and Aquatopia have begun on site testing.

No shots of a JttCotE vehicle popping out of the mountain yet (it's not for a lack of trying), but here's one arriving at the park.

Look closely at the dead center of the picture and you'll (barely) see an Aquatopia ride vehicle as it was passing  by during testing.
