At 7PM the guests were allowed to enter the theater and enjoy a selection of cookies served with punch and coffee. As guests entered they were offered an edible memento of the evening - a rice krispie ball decorated in the image of Jack's face - with chocolate eyes, nose and mouth - complete with a black ribbon bow-tie and spider. There were several opinions as to the success of saving the item and many were consumed - perishable and collectable don't mix very well.

As images of holiday symbols began to appear on the curtain the narrator asked, "If you haven’t wondered where holidays come from, I’d say it’s time you’ve begun." And with that a chorus of Halloween Town’s most prominent characters took the stage for a very inventive version of "This is Halloween" to the delight of the audience.

As the performance - and the cheers - continued Jack made his appearance in a cloud of CO2. The stage was dressed with Halloween pumpkins and tombstones and the film’s signature curled hilltop and full moon were featured.
