Fantillusion at Disneyland Paris

Disney’s Fantillusion has had a tortured life, despite being just 8 years old. Adored by millions of Tokyo Disneyland guests, the parade was retired after just 6 years in 2001 after a brief “Sayonara? season. The parade was created as an alternative to Fantasmic! at Disneyland in California. The similarities are striking from the first substantial use of Disney Villians to propel the storyline as they attempt to hijack the night to the same composer and producer in Bruce Healey (who was also responsible for Light Magic) and dialogue writer Tom Child. Tokyo Disneyland does not possess a lagoon capable of hosting Fantasmic!, and therefore the cast at Walt Disney Entertainment hit upon the idea of bringing the concept to a parade.
