As the Garden moves on, Maleficent heralds the arrival of the Disney Villains. Accompanying the Mistress of All Evil are Jafar and Ursula. The cronies have arrived to take control of the Disney Light and turn everything to darkness through the power of a terrible storm. Their floats are predominantly black and use associated colours, such as dark reds, golds and deep blues. As the parade enters its second show mode, caped accompliances remove their dark garbs to reveal fluorescent costumes, highlighted by portable ultraviolet light boxes. Each cohort performs a macabre dance to the Villains theme songs, as one by one, the Villains enter their transformation. Under a plume of liquid nitrogen, Maleficent descends into the float, giving way to reveal the Dragon, atop of Sleeping Beauty Castle, complete with glowing red eyes and wings. Jafar also enters a metamorphosis that brings the giant snake to life, towering above the float, as the float itself becomes the coils of the snake’s body. Both creatures tower above the watching guests, as the music reaches a crescendo of intensity and emotion. Only Ursula’s head is visible above her float, until the transformation fills out the giant sea witch, complete with body and arms, as her faithful sidekicks, Flotsam and Jetsam are illuminated along the side of the side of the vehicle.
