Toon Talk: Up and Monsters, Inc. Blu-Rays

As for Monsters, Inc., there are only three new bonus features, the first two found on the first Blu-ray and the standard DVD. The Filmmakers Round Table offers the movies creative staff -- director Pete Docter, co-director Lee Unkrich, producer Darla K. Anderson and story supervisor Bob Peterson -- reminiscing about Disney/Pixars first Best Animated Feature Oscar nominee.

Meanwhile, Monsters, Inc. Ride and Go Seek: Building Monstropolis in Japan takes you behind the scenes at the interactive attraction found only in Tokyo Disneyland. Youll see that as far as Monster rides go, this US Disney theme parks cant hold a candle to its Far East counterpart (in other words: they got this and we got the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor?).

The new game Rozs 100 Door Challenge (found on Blu-ray disc 2) may require you (like me) to update your Blu-ray players firmware. It will also likely try your patience, as it doesnt allow you to progress in the game play until you correctly solve each of the brain teasers, puzzles and/or trivia questions all 100 of them. (And it is also perplexing that Bob Peterson didnt narrate this as Roz; instead, we get a generic "annoying announcer guy".) But dont worry, if you get stuck, just head over to the website Stitch Kingdom (insert link http://www.stitchkingdom.com/2009/11/09/monsters-inc-rozs-100-door-challenge-cheat-sheet-blu-ray/), where they have helpfully posted a handy-dandy cheat sheet that will get you through the games tougher spots.

Other notable bonus features carried over from the previous Monsters, Inc. DVD include the Oscar winning short For the Birds, the Oscar nominated short Mikes New Car and the complete set of outtakes, capped off by the infamous company musical Put That Thing Back Where It Came From or So Help Me!
