At a press conference for the next Star Trek films, JJ Abrams, who’s directing that film and the next Star Wars, said John Williams would be scoring the next Star Wars film rather than his normal composer, Michael Giacchino. His quote… “I believe that, going forward, John Williams will be doing that film, because he was there long before I was.”
