Thor: The Dark World at Disney's El Capitan Theatre Nov 8 – Nov 21

Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to present Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World,” sponsored by Kodak. The film will be shown in spectacular Disney Digital 3D™, RealD® 3D and Dolby® Atmos™ from November 8 through November 21, 2013, featuring special screenings, including a “Marvel Marathon” and aMidnight screening on November 7, as announced today by Lylle Breier, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Special Events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
Detailed highlights are as follows:
  • The “Marvel Marathon” will begin at 2:30pm on Thursday November 7, and feature back-to-back screenings of Marvel’s “Thor,” “Marvel’s The Avengers,” and Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World.” Tickets will be available for sale at www.elcapitantickets.com or by calling 1(800) DISNEY6. The Marathon will include all 3 films, reserved seating, a special credential, a sandwich provided by Chick-fil-A, a beverage provided by Coca-Cola, apple slices by Crunch Pak and signature Ghirardelli SQUARES® chocolate, plus surprises and giveaways all for just $30.00!
  • Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” will also have a special Midnight Screening for the public, with costume contest, prizes, and giveaways. Doors will open at 11:00 PM on Thursday, November 7.
  • Plus costumes worn in the movie from Jane Foster & Volstagg will be on display
  • The El Capitan Theatre will offer guests an exclusive display of vintage comic books and a peek into the private collection of Stan Lee, legendary writer of Marvel Comics, fromNovember 8 – November 21. This exclusive display includes an array of collectibles that Lee has acquired throughout his storied career.
  • El Capitan guests can also receive a limited edition comic book featuring a John Romita Jr. cover for the El Capitan Theatre exclusively produced by Marvel Comics with the purchase of a special $28 VIP admission.
  • In addition, throughout the engagement, El Capitan guests may enter for a chance to win two tickets to Disneyland Park, where they can get their photo taken with Thor at the all new attraction, “Thor: Treasures of Asgard,” just one of the many magical memories you can make during your visit at Disneyland Resort. Two tickets will be given away at every show.
