After it was revealed that Batkid was cut from the Oscars, it became known that he went to Disneyland. Today we find out that he went with Andrew Garfield who portrays Peter Parker in Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man franchise. In a statement the Academy said, “”Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production. Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family.
Batkid became an internet sensation as he became a superhero for a day in San Francisco as part of Make-A-Wish. He was scheduled to be a part of the hero themed Oscar telecast.
