Disneyland Half Marathon to Feature 10th Anniversary Medal and Special Event

Registration for the 10th annual Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna at Disneyland Resort opens Tuesday Feb. 10 and the race weekend will be highlighted by a unique 10th annual medal and a special Disneyland Half Marathon Annual party. This private, ticketed event, held Thursday evening Sept 3, will give guests access to select attractions, Disney entertainment and character meet & greets in Disneyland Park West Side.

As the event coincides with Disneyland’s newly-announced 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, the party will also offer runners exclusive viewing of Disneyland’s “Paint the Night” Parade which is part of the 60th anniversary celebration.

The Disneyland Half Marathon takes runners from Disney California Adventure Park to Disneyland Park before hitting the streets of Anaheim and winding through Angel Stadium of Anaheim, home of the Los Angeles Angels. The flat, loop course concludes at the Disneyland Hotel.

Runners looking for an additional challenge can put their endurance to the test and compete in the Dumbo Double Dare, which involves running 19.3 miles over two days with the Disneyland 10K on Saturday and the half marathon on Sunday, earning another special finisher medal.

The weekend of events also includes the Disneyland 5K, runDisney Kids Races and the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. Runners can register for this year’s Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend events at www.runDisney.com and can access specially priced theme park tickets and room nights after registering for the event by calling (407) 939-iRun.
