In a long-speculated and debated move, runDisney seems to be getting into the world of virtual races. According to a page on the runDisney website a new Virtual Running Short Series will kick off May 15th with two subsequent events starting on June 5th and June 19th. Each Virtual Race Short will consist of the 5K that can be completed anywhere (and proof of run is not required). Finishers will each receive a special medal. Additionally, you can sign up for all three events in the series to get all three finishers medals plus a fourth medal and a Mickey tumbler.
Each race is $39 and the entire series of races (including the bonus medal and tumbler) is $142. Registration for these races appears to be open now.
