Today, Support Our Anaheim Resort (S.O.A.R.) PAC endorsed Steve Chavez Lodge for Anaheim City Council, District 1.

“Steve Chavez Lodge has a lifelong commitment to public service. As a veteran, retired police officer, and local Anaheim Commissioner, Steve is best equipped to address West Anaheim’s needs. S.O.A.R. PAC is proud to support Steve in his election to the Anaheim City Council,” said Jill Kanzler.

Steve Chavez Lodge will be seeking election in the newly formed Anaheim Council District 1, which includes the most western portion of Anaheim. Steve is a current commissioner on the Anaheim Budget, Investment and Technology Commission, where he oversees the City of Anaheim’s annual budget, which funds critical public services including public safety. As a former homicide detective, Steve has worked tirelessly to prioritize public safety in the Anaheim City budget. Steve is endorsed by Sherriff Sandra Hutchens, Police Chief Paul Walters (Ret.), Deputy Police Chief Craig Hunter (Ret.) and numerous others.

“Steve has a vision that demonstrates he’s committed to safety in our neighborhoods. In fact, he is the only candidate who has direct experience in addressing homelessness and the gang issues that exist in West Anaheim. He understands the workings of our City’s budget, as well as the proven advantages that the Resort District brings to Anaheim. We look forward to partnering with Steve to promote further economic development in Anaheim, including West Anaheim and the Anaheim Resort District,” said Jill Kanzler.
