Tony Winner Michael Grandage In Talks to Take Over “Frozen” Musical

Last month news came that the original director of Disney’s Frozen musical that’s currently in development had left the project. Now The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Tony Award winner Michael Grandage will likely helm the Broadway-bound show instead. Grandage won a Tony for directing Red in 2007 and for Frost/Nixon in 2007 and for 2014’s The Cripple of Inishmaan.

THR says that the deal has yet to be announced and Disney declined to comment on their report. Of course the production still has plenty of time as it prepared for a run in Denver starting in August 2017 before heading to New York in 2018.
