State Records Show a Man Died After Riding Star Tours in WDW Last Month

Florida state reports show that last month a 67-year-old man passed away after riding Star Tour in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As the Orlando Sentinel reports, Ralph Lyles from Memphis, Tennesee fell ill after riding. He also suffered from a pre-existing heart condition.

Sheri Blanton, a spokesperson for the District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office told the Sentinel, “The cause of death was listed as hypertensive cardiovascular disease with other significant conditions contributing to death listed as obesity.”

Other Walt Disney World medical incident documented in the report include a 53-year-old woman having a seizure on Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid and a59-year-old man having stomach and chest pain while riding Space Mountain.
