“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” Scores Off the Charts in Test Screening

Welp, apparently Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’s test screening scores are out of this world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming Marvel film was better received than any other film the studio has created to date, scoring an extremely rare 100%. While other MCU installments like Avengers have hit the high 90s, a perfect score is nearly unheard of. However, THR notes that Marvel pulls its screening participants from a select pool of candidates to help prevent leaks. As a result, they say, “because the Marvel testing process is not as random as other studio procedures, the 100 score for Guardians 2 is not necessarily able to be compared to other non-Marvel movies. And testing, of course, is a complicated process and not indicative of a movie’s box office performance or reviews.”

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens May 5th

Disney and Marvel both declined to comment on THR’s story, but, if accurate, you can imagine they’re pretty excited about how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will perform when it arrives in theatres May 5th.
