Following a false alarm yesterday where the park’s website was temporarily updated, the Disney Parks Blog has oddly chosen today, April Fools Day, to announce that the Main Street Electrical Parade would be staying at Disneyland longer than originally expected. Although the show was set to “glow away” in June, it is now scheduled through August 20th due to “popular demand.”
Although this wasn’t exactly unexpected (even with yesterday’s apparent slip-up aside), it will certain come as a bit of a disappoint to those hoping Paint the Night would make a late-summer return to the park. Disney still has yet to announce future plans for that parade or for the return of Fantasmic also expected for this summer.
