With Marvel set to turn out more surefire hits like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War in the relatively near future, it can be easy to forget about some of the other big flicks they have planned down the road. Among them is Captain Marvel, which will star Oscar-winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. Today, THR reports that the film has hired Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck to direct. Previously the duo has directed films like Mississipi Grind and episodes of the shows Billions and The Affair. They’ve also worked together on the well-reviewed film Half Nelson starring Ryan Gosling.
THR notes that the pair came out on top after several other directors were looked to for the job, includingNiki Caro, Lesli Linka Glatter and Lorene Scafaria. Captain Marvel is set for release on of March 8th, 2019,
