Disney Cruise Line Adjusts, Cancels Sailings Due to Hurricane Irma

Following the destruction Hurricane Harvey caused in Texas and Lousiana, all eyes are now on Hurricane Irma — a category 5 hurricane currently in the Atlantic. While it’s too soon to know for sure whether Walt Disney World will put its hurricane policy into effect, the Disney Cruise Line is making changes to some of the Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries and even canceling some sailings.

First, the Disney Fantasy cruise that departed on September 2nd will be returning to Port Canaveral on Thursday, September 7th — two days ahead of schedule. Guests onboard will be refunded for the two night and receive a 25% discount on future sailings, which may be booked by calling 1-855-347-2784 or 407-566-7054 from September 18th, 2017, through October 18th, 2017. Similarly, the September 4th sailing of the Disney Dream will shorten its voyage by one day, also returning to Port Canaveral on September 7th. One night will be refunded to guests on this cruise and they will also be provided with the 25% discount.

The September 8th and 11th sailings of the Disney Dream and the September 8th sailing of the Disney Fantasy have now been canceled. Refunds will be processed onto the form of payment originally used for the booking. Guests who were to be on this cruises are also being offered 25% off a future cruise booking by calling 1-855-347-2784 or 407-566-7054 from September 18th, 2017, through October 18th, 2017.

Disney Cruise Line says it will continue to monitor Hurricane Irma and update guests as necessary. For more information, be sure to check the DCL website.
