Single Will Support Disney's Forthcoming Animated Feature Film

A&M/Interscope recording artist Mya has recorded the tender pop ballad ``Where the Dream Takes You'' for the "Atlantis: The Lost Empire'' soundtrack on Walt Disney Records. The Diane Warren-penned song will be featured during the closing credits of Disney's highly anticipated animated feature, and will be worked at Top 40 and Adult Contemporary radio starting June 5, prior to the film's June 15 release date.

In just three years, Mya has amassed an impressive nine Top 10 hits (from her first single -- the Sisqo collaboration, "It's All About Me'' -- to the current ``Lady Marmalade'' with Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil'Kim) and has sold more than six million albums worldwide. She has worked with the music industry's finest producers, including Wyclef Jean, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and She'kspere. Her current album, "Fear of Flying,'' recently certified platinum.

The "Atlantis: The Lost Empire'' soundtrack also features a dramatic score by acclaimed composer James Newton Howard, who has scored more than 65 feature films and earned six Academy Award® nominations during his career. James Newton Howard collaborated with award-winning songwriter Diane Warren on the end title song. The soundtrack, which is available at retail on May 22, 2001, transports listeners to the mysterious and imaginative world of Atlantis.
