Pressler said "Well when Walt Disney created the Disneyland legacy he envisioned a special place for families and children in 1955 and he transformed his dreams into reality when he converted the Anaheim orange groves into what is the Happiest Place on Earth. Tonight we're here to celebrate the continuation of Walt's Dream. Thanks to our hardworking and talented Disney cast, the Downtown Disney operational participants, the city of Anaheim and especially the dream makers at Walt Disney Imagineering, we're back to where it all began with the creation of Downtown Disney and Disney's Californian Adventure."

Pressler then introduced all of the Downtown Disney operational participants and their representatives as Bob Iger presented them with token of appreciation for their participation in the evening's events.

This was followed by an introduction of the co-chair of the night's event and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Walt Disney Company, Michael Eisner.

Eisner said "Walt Disney once said the greatest moments in life are not concerned with selfish achievements. The Walt Disney Company is very honored to share in the magic of giving and to take part in this exceptional endeavor. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is unequaled in its devotion to children around the world. To those who join us in support of this wonderful cause, I salute your dedication and steadfast commitment to the long term health and welfare of our worldwide community. Making dreams come true and bringing optimism and happiness to the world has always been at the heart of our company. Creating new places to share discovery and enjoyment with family and friends is a very exciting and gratifying adventure. And so, along with the operating participants of Downtown Disney, we invite you to enjoy this evening as we'll celebrate the excitement of making dreams come true. And now, I proudly present, Downtown Disney."
