Disney.com the number one site for November
Disney.com Number One in November
According to the November Media Metrix report, Disney Online is once again ranked the number one kids and family entertainment Web site, a position it's held for the past year and a half.
Disney.com's audience reach grew to more than six million unique users this November, a nearly 25 percent increase over six months ago. Disney.com surpassed its closest major studio online competitor by more than one million unique visitors and its closest children's online competitor by more than four million unique visitors. In addition, Disney Online recently reached a significant milestone earlier in December when the site hosted more than ten million pages in a single day.
"As more kids and families turn to the Internet for their entertainment, they are clicking on Disney.com as their favorite Web site," said Ken Goldstein, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Online. "Our unique combination of original content, games, activities, and our new BlastPad, Disney.com's instant messaging tool, appeal to newcomers to the site, as well as our loyal guests who return again and again."
"Being the No. 1 online entertainment destination for kids and families for the past year and a half is only the beginning," added Goldstein. "We'll be adding even more activities and fun to Disney.com to ensure our leadership in the year to come."
Online fun continues on Disney.com through its numerous kid-focused initiatives including "The Zeether at Disney.com" - a special place for children that offers a one-click connection to Internet fun, games, music, and activities. Additionally, families can access exclusive premium content like special multi-player games, robust communications tools with parental controls and merchandise discounts through its broadly expanded and growing subscription service, Disney's Club Blast.
