Deal complements of broad corporate alliance between Hasbro, Inc. and The Walt Disney Company

Hasbro will become the Official Toy and Game Company for Disneyland Paris Resort

Euro Disney S.C.A. and Hasbro, Inc. today announced a multi-year alliance under which Hasbro will become the Official Toy and Game Company for Disneyland Paris Resort. The deal complements a broad corporate alliance between The Walt Disney Company and Hasbro also announced today.

"This alliance between Euro Disney S.C.A. and Hasbro brings together the best in creativity, innovation and broad-based family entertainment," said Hasbro Chairman and CEO Alan G. Hassenfeld. "We believe it offers both companies outstanding opportunities to collaborate on new and exciting entertainment experiences for families visiting Disneyland Paris Resort."

Disneyland Paris President Jay Rasulo said, "Disneyland Paris is Europe's premier vacation resort destination and the ideal location for Hasbro to showcase its creativity in toys and games development for the European consumer. I am very confident that Hasbro's addition to our group of alliance companies at Disneyland Paris will enable us to enhance our guests' enjoyment even further."

Under terms of the multi-year agreement, the companies will leverage their creative expertise and brand strength to develop and market toys and games for sale at Disneyland Paris Resort, and to introduce imaginative new aspects to the theme park's rides and attractions. Other alliance initiatives include:

  • A show featuring Hasbro's international adventure character Action Man will debut at Disneyland Paris Resort.
  • Hasbro will have the right to take advantage of Disneyland Paris Resort promotions and special offers to enhance its number-one position in the European toys and games market.
  • The companies will explore additional creative initiatives for Disneyland Paris Resort.
