LP: CA Middle School collects Disney videos for Children's Hospitals
Chaminade Middle School Community Service Program
Do you have any older G-rated films lying around the house collecting dust? Can't figure out what to do with your VHS Disney videos once you've purchased them in DVD format? Chaminade Middle School under the direction of Michael Hart has developed a unique community service program. They collect family videos and distribute them among various local children's hospitals.

2001 Update
The "G" rated video drive is still going strong. This school year
Chaminade Middle School collected over 2500 videos and sent them to places such as The
Ronald McDonald House, AIDS Project LA, Holy Cross Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, the
Grossman Burn Center, Mattel's Children Hospital at UCLA, Cedars Sinai, Tarzana Medical
Center, Valley Presbyterian, Family Violence Project, Northridge Medical Center, Casa De
Los Ninos (in Arizona) and others. In two years the Kids for Kid's Video drive has donated
close to 3700 videos. In addition, over the past three years, Chaminade Middle
School has raised over 620,000 frequent flyer miles for the Make A Wish Program.
